Rev. John Francis O'Conner.

MOBILE, ALA., March 27.---Rev. John Francis O'Connor, provincial of the Society of Jesus, with territory extending from Key West to Galveston, died here today. He came to Mobile in February to attend the celebration of the founding of Mobile and was taken ill. The dead prelate was 67 years old and a native of New Orleans and was educated at Lyons, France.

MOBILE, ALA., March 27.---After lingering since February 27, Rev. Father John Francis O'Connor, Provincial of the Society of Jesus, in charge of the jurisdiction that extends from Key West, Fla., to Galveston, Tex., died here today at Providence Infirmary. The remains have been removed to the Jesuit College at Spring Hill, from which place the funeral will take place tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock. Interment being in the college cemetery. The deceased was 67 years of age and was a native of New Orleans, La. He obtained his early education at Spring Hill College, and later went to Lyons, France, where he studied for the priesthood.
