Parkhurst, Frederick A. d. 1939

Frederick A. Parkhurst.

FARMINGTON--Frederick Parkhurst passed away early Monday morning at West Farmington at the home of his son, Harold where he had resided for 10 years. He suffered a paralytic shock the day before. The remains were taken to Hyde Park, Mass., where the funeral will be held and burial will be at Fairview cemetery in that city. Mr. Parkhurst was born June 26, 1853, in Charlestown, Mass., and for 53 years he resided in that city and in Hyde Park, marrying Miss Laurie B. Noyes, in the latter city, and for 30 years he conducted a grocery business on wheels, selling from house to house and using a horst for transportation. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Hyde Park and for five years served as a deacon in that church. He was a great reader, and possessed a very inquiring mind and it was a pleasure to converse with him. Besides the son, Harold, he is survived by a son, Nelson N. Parkhurst of Hollis, N. H. and four grandsons and one grand-daughter.
