Services will take place Monday for Irving E. Wells, 78, of 1820 Stratfield road, Fairfield, proprietor of a service station on Stratfield road, who died yesterday in St. Mary's Convalescent hospital, Trumbull.
They will be conducted at 2 p.m. in the Albert W. Spear funeral home, 1222 Fairfield avenue, with the Rev. Charles S. Geiger, pastor of the Nichols Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Mountain Grove cemetery.
Born in Southbury, Mr. Wells resided in this area 35 years. He operated the gas station most of that time.
Mr. Wells is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine M. Wells; a son, Thomas B. Brown, of White Plains, N. Y., and a grandson.
