Death of Former Resident.

Henry Powell, a former resident of this place, but for the past number of years a resident of Olyphant, died yesterday. For the past twelve years the deceased had been blind. He was a brother of Daniel Powell and William D. Powell, also of Mrs. Richard Jervis of this place. The funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 1:30, with services at the late home. Interment will be made in the Odd Fellows' cemetery at Pittston.

Alex McCluskie has returned from the Hospital, having been confined there for the past few months. Many friends of Mr. McCluskie will be pleased to learn of his recovery. He will take up his duties as Constable, in which position he has earned himself an enviable reputation.
