Skinner, Helen d. 1919
MISS HELEN SKINNER
Miss Helen Skinner died at her residence on Red Cross avenue on Thursday, after a considerable illness. She had long been a summer resident of Newport and for a number of years had made this her permanent home. She was a daughter of the late Rev. Thomas Harvey Skinner, who was a prominent clergyman and educator, being a member of the faculty to two of the leading theological institutions of the country, Andover Theological Seminary and Union Theological Seminary.
The death of Miss Skinner marks the passing away of three well known summer residents within a few days, all of whom owned homes in the Red Cross avenue section--Mrs. William C. Rives, Mrs. Andrew B. Almon and Miss Skinner.
